Stieglitz Snyder Architecture is reprogramming and reconstructing an open plan at Bellevue Elementary School to traditional corridor concept. Work also includes adding exterior windows to provide light and ventilation to classrooms, reconfiguring the front entrance, and renovation of the library.
Highlights include a reading theater for the Pre-K suite and the addition of a slide to the main staircase to reward students for behavior and academics. Emphasis was placed on taking the necessary work scopes involving refurbishment and refinishing throughout the building and finding opportunities to inject light and color supportive of academic activities. Even straight forward repairs and upgrades can be particularly transformational for interior environments.
