Stieglitz Snyder Architecture reprogrammed and renovated an open plan in the Science Magnet School to provide more discreet classroom spaces. Work also included locker room renovation, new finishes for exit stair towers and reconfiguration of toilet rooms.

In transitioning from an open plan facility, Stieglitz Snyder Architecture developed the layout of a new “Science Suite” consisting of three contiguous but acoustically and physically separate science classrooms. Emphasis was placed on taking the necessary work scopes involving refurbishment and refinishing throughout the building and finding opportunities to inject light and color supportive of academic activities. Even straight forward repairs and upgrades can be particularly transformational for interior environments.
