Library Renovation
Utica City School District
Completed 2011
Utica, NY

In brief, this project brings a historic elementary school back to its original use after being utilized as an administrative building for two decades. Through the addition and subtraction of existing walls the building has been restored to a classroom building with all required support spaces including a media center, cafeteria, auditorium and gymnasium. The scope of this alteration project included modifications of existing mechanical, electrical, plumbing and life safety systems. New site work is focused on the development of a bus loop at the east property line. A new play area is planned to be located parallel to the south property line and west of the bus loop. Final improvements include the rehabilitation/renewal of existing landscaped areas and walking paths.
