The Hispanic Cultural Center is envisioned as an educational and cultural hub which will preserve and celebrate the hispanic heritage of Buffalo and WNY residents.
Sited on Niagara and Hudson Street, the cultural center is located within a mile of Buffalo's downtown and adjacent to a traditionally Hispanic neighborhood. The center is envisioned as a space to preserve and pass along the music, culinary, visual arts and literary traditions to the next generation.
Concepts for the cultural center include a museum, cafe, commercial kitchen, event space for 100+, a theater, media learning center. The third floor of the building is devoted to commercial space which will offset the cost of maintenance for the Hispanic Heritage Council.
