This 61 unit, 26 site project is the final component of a multi-phase Hope VI redevelopment of the Lakeview section of Buffalo, New York. The project entailed design of infill housing units on vacant sites throughout this west side neighborhood. A major project goal was to respond to the unique urban context through the use of architectural design elements which compliment a variety of adjacent styles. This objective was accomplished by using multiple unit types ranging from single family to duplex and townhouse configurations.
Additionally, the project was required to gain approval from the New York State Historic Preservation Board while maintaining compliance with current code requirements and DHCR Standards. Multiple units were designed to be handicapped accessible and the majority allow for ""visitibilty"" of physically challenged guests.
